Adobe Lightroom 4.2 Now Available

Lightroom-4.2

Adobe Lightroom has now been updated to version 4.2. Included in the update are bug fixes and small improvements, most notably the addition of support for the Nikon D600. Though Adobe states that support is limited and photographs could change with time, Lightroom 4.2 imported my D600 files without any issues. When compared to previous imports of 16bit tiff files from the D600 (converted using the included Nikon Software), the raw files contained even more detail, allowed white balance correction and looked much better when pushed to their extremes. When altering the shadows and highlights of the tiff files, the images often showed too much contrast and looked as if the saturation was increased. Now, after importing the raw NEF files into Lightroom 4.2, edited files look great and clean even after being pushed to their extremes.
