Sony Alpha 77 Mark II Announced
Sony has just introduced the Sony A77 Mark II sticking with the translucent mirror design which brings an EVF, 79pt AF system (15 cross type) and super fast 12fps shooting to the table. The new 24.3 MP sensor has a max ISO of 25,600 with 1080p video at up to 60p. The A77 Mark II is available for pre-order now at Adorama for $1198 (Body) and $1798 (w/16-50mm 2.8 lens).
The A77 Mark II has a full magnesium alloy body with dust and moisture resistance as well as a 150,000 max shutter life. This is a camera capable of taking a beating and weathering the great outdoors. And given the 12fps max frame rate, this camera will likely be great for wildlife and sports shooters. The Translucent mirror design allows the Sony A77 Mark II to not have to move the mirror while shooting which leads to the faster frame rates, great live view AF, and the Electronic Viewfinder.
For movie enthusiasts, the A77 Mark II boasts up to 60fps shooting at 1080p, continuous live view AF, full manual audio control, and clean HDMI output which certainly put it among the best for APS-C DSLRs.
The Sony A77 Mark II certainly has a spec sheet that competes extremely well with other cameras in the market. Stay tuned for the full review where we can test to see if it can deliver on those awesome specs around the mid June relase date.
