Best Cameras of 2014 and what to buy this year 2015

Samsung NX1:       B&H Photo   |   Amazon
Great hybrid camera for photographers and videographers with 28mp stills at 15fps combined with 4k/uhd video at 30fps. If you can only have 1 camera for both video and photography, the NX1 offers great performance in both areas.

Nikon D750:        B&H Photo   |   Amazon
The D750 is almost the perfect camera. It combines awesome image quality, a great focus system, great video quality and options, and plenty of professional features for $700 less than the pro level D810. If a smaller lighter camera or extra cash in your wallet are important to you, the D750 gives you some amazing quality.

Nikon D810:        B&H Photo   |   Amazon
Coming from the D750, the D810 is the big brother that has it all. While the original D800 sacrificed speed, file size, and some options for the crazy 36mp sensor, the D810 pretty much eliminates all of those compromises. While still not a sports camera, the D810 is a healthy combination of quality and features to make just about anyone happy

Panasonic GH4:     B&H Photo   |   Amazon
If video is your thing, it’s hard to go wrong with the Gh4. While technically a still camera, Panasonic pushed the video market forward with 4k internal recording, a host of video features, a sub $2000 price tag, and ditched the recording limit that has plagues almost every other camera. While the smaller sensor has some negatives epically for photographers and high ISO results, the GH4 still offers excellent performance with unmatched features.

Sony A7s:       B&H Photo   |   Amazon
If trading 4k internal recording for a full frame sensor is in the cards, it’s hard to argue with the A7s. Although it still has a recording limit, it has just about every video feature you need in a small compact camera with the best low light performance of any camera period. For high ISO recording, there is nothing better than the A7s.

Canon 7D Mark II:      B&H Photo   |   Amazon
Sports and wildlife photographers no longer need to spend $6000 for a decent camera as the 7D Mark II has an advanced 65pt all cross type focus system, dual card slots, and 10fps shooting, in a weather sealed body for just $1800. Even video has made advances with the dual pixel AF system, headphone outputs and mic inputs, manual audio control while shooting, and 1080p video at 60fps. While certainly not the best in image quality, the Canon 7D2 delivers great high iso results, solid quality, and awesome speed for a great price.

Sony A6000:         B&H Photo   |   Amazon
Without many standout features, the A6000 didn’t quite get the attention it deserves but it is one of the best mirrorless cameras around and for a great price. The 24MP APS-C sensor combined with a fast hybrid AF system make the A6000 an awesome portable compact camera with interchangeable lenses and a great pricetag.
