Nikon D5200 Coming to America

Nikon-D5200-DSLR-in-redWith only some modest revisions in the body, the D5200 is about the same size and weight as the D5100 but offers an extra shooting mode button on the top. The main differences to this camera are in the AF system, metering system, and image sensor. With the same 2016 pixel RGB metering sensor contained in the D7000, the D5200 will boasts a substantial increase in metering capabilities. Adding to the borrowed features, the same 39 point AF system from the D7000 was also ported to the D5200 which is a considerable upgrade from the D5100 and the Canon competition. The new 24MP sensor was also borrowed, except this time from the D3200, which brings better low light performance, excellent picture quality and 50% more pixels with a faster 5fps frame rate. All indications show the D5200 to be a welcome upgrade in performance, quality, and features although nothing revolutionary was brought to the table. Most of the new enhancements were borrowed from previous cameras resulting in an incremental, yet still substantial upgrade.
