Fuji X-M1 Announced
Having already reviewed the Fuji X20 and the Fuji X100s, I must say that I am in love with the Fuji X systems. The quality from these cameras is amazing, the feature set will keep any pro satisfied, and the body and build quality are top notch with a downright beautiful quality.
However, with each model has been some drawbacks. While the Fuji X20 suffered from the smaller, compact size sensor, the Fuji X100s suffered from a fixed, unchangeable 35mm lens. While the lens was amazing, the inability to change it led me to leave the Fuji at home more often than I would have liked.
The Fuji X-M1 aims to change all this by paring the new APS-C 16MP X-Trans sensor (which has amazing results) with an interchangeable lens system. This blend may prove to be the perfect mix for Fuji in this new camera design.
Pricing for the X-M1 will be $699 for the body only and $$799 when paired with the new 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.
