3pod Orbit Tripod Review - Awesome tripod with a killer secret feature
The 3Pod Orbit tripod is probably the coolest tripod I've ever used. With a telescoping center, this tripod has so many uses up its sleeve. In addition, the quality and fit & finish seemed top notch. It's available in both aluminum and as a carbon fiber tripod so check out this tripod review for details.

Sony RX10III Announced
Not even 1 year after Sony introduced the RX10II, we now have an updated RX10III featuring an unbelievable 24-600mm F2.8-4 zoom lens! In what was already one of the best all in 1 cameras on the market, the new RX10III takes that to an entirely new level with a lens that is ready for everything. Whether shooting sports, wildlife, or your family photographs, the RX10III has it covered without ever changing a lens. Let's also not forget the amazing 4k video quality and 960fps slow motion possibilities we saw in the RX10II. Head past the break for more information and the press release but for good measure, definitely revisit the Sony RX10 II Review to see how this new camera will perform.

Sony a7SII Review - an Unpolished Masterpiece
The Sony A7sII definitely caught me by surprise. Only a few weeks after completing the review of the awesome Sony A7RII, Sony introduced another killer camera this time with internal 4k recording, in body Image Stabilization, S-log 3, a new 169 point AF system, and more new features to further separate Sony from the rest of the pack. So I’ve taken this camera through it’s paces shooting everything from weddings to landscapes to see if the A7sII is a worthy upgrade and if it's time you jump from the traditional DSLR to this mirrorless powerhouse.

Sony introduces new FE 50mm F1.8 and 70-300mm F4.5-5.6
Building the FE Lens line even more, Sony has introduced a new 50mm FE F1.8 lens as well as a 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 G OSS. The 50mm is particularly exciting for me as the retail price is under $249 giving Sony some much needed lens options for those with less cash on hand. It will be interesting to see how this competes with the current Sony E Mount 50mm F1.8 OSS which is not full frame but does offer stabilization for a6300 owners.
The 70-300mm lens retails for $1199 and fills a much needed gap in Sony's lens selection over 200mm. It also has a decent .31x magnification and image stabilization which could be a great option for many Sony users.

Sony Introduces Professional Wireless Radio Flash System
Sony has just introduced a new radio flash system for their cameras, something desperately missing to compete wit Canon and Nikon. The new system uses the FA-WRC1M Radio Commander to communicate with the FA-WRR1 Radio receiver (sorry, no new flashes) and your existing Sony flashes. With a maximum range of 30M, control of 15 separate flash units in 5 groups, and flash sync speeds of 1/250th of a second, this looks like a solid unit. Pricing and detailed specifications will be released at a later date so for now, feast your eyes on the picture above.
Some huge deals are available through March 13th on a variety of gear. Thanks to wppi, these are often some of the best sales you can find!
My favorite Sigma ART lenses, Sony A7 series cameras, and Canon/Nikon bodies and lenses are some of the major specials. Also some great prices on accessories if you need some (and who doesn't).
Nikon Introduces the DL Series Camera with 3 models and 4k video
I'll start off by saying I'm not in love with the naming procedure here but we now have a new series of high end cameras from Nikon (think Sony RX10 and RX100) called the DL series. Beginning with 3 models, each named for their respective focal lengths, these cameras bring non-removable lenses with wide apertures, awesome features, to relatively compact bodies. Ranging in price from $649-999, there are also different features between the 3 models in addition to their focal lengths. Check out the details of each model after the break.

Sigma Announces 50-100mm F1.8 HSM Art
The Engineers at Sigma are clearly operating on another level with this one. In what might be the best APS-C Portrait lens ever created, Sigma has introduced the Sigma 50-100mm F1.8 HSM Art to an unexpected crowd. With an 80-160mm Equivalent focal range and a constant F1.8 aperture, this Sigma lens hits the coveted 85mm and 135mm focal lengths with room to spare. The Sigma 50mm and 35mm F1.4 Art lenses are probably my favorite prime lenses and if the previous Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 lens (review) is any indication, this is definitely a lens you will want to own when it becomes available in April. Check out more details after the break.

Pentax K-1 Announced
A somewhat unexpected and quite astonishing new release from Pentax may be just the shakeup the DSLR market needs. with A full frame 36.4MP CMOS Sensor, full weather sealed body, and a price tag of just $1799, the just announced Pentax K1 is shaping up to be the best camera your $2000 can buy. It isn't all completely perfect though. We do only have 33 AF points with 25 being cross type, 4.5fps, and only 1080p video at 30fps all which put it behind the Nikon D750 though still ahead in many respects of the Canon 6D. The Pentax K-1 is available for preorder starting today with availability in the beginning of April. Check out more information and my opinions after the break!
