Canon has just announced some new lenses to go with the 7D Mark II announcement.
First up is a Canon 24-105mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. This will bring the STM (Silent AF & Aperture adjustments) to full frame cameras as well as APS-C cameras. The f3.5-f5.6 aperture though may discourage use of this lens for video (Canon should make a constant aperture STM lens) but it for now is the only STM lens available for full frame cameras. If you can live without the silent AF though, you may want to look at the Canon 24-105mm f4 IS or Sigma 24-105mm f4 OS.
The Canon 24-105mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM lens is available for $599

Next is the Canon 24mm f2.8 STM Pancake lens for APS-C cameras. This lens is similar to the 40mm f2.8 STM lens that Canon has had out for some time. With an equivalent focal length of 38mm on an APS-C camera, this lens is a great general purpose prime for the Canon SL1, T5i, and Canon 70D.
The Canon 24mm f2.8 lens is available for $149

The long awaited refresh to the popular Canon 7D is here and the 7D Mark II brings quite a long spec sheet to accompany some new technology. Featuring a new 20.2MP APS-C Dual Pixel Image Sensor, the 7D Mark II aims to bring better low light performance along with the fast Autofocus we have seen in live view and video modes on the Canon 70D. If that isn't enough, the 65pt All Cross Type focus system (the best I have seen) should make wildlife and sports photographers jump for joy. Paired with the dual Digic 6 processors that allow 10fps, 1080p video at 60fps, and a native ISO of up to 16,000, the new Canon 7D Mark II should turn some heads. The price is also way less than expected at $1,799

The long rumored Nikon D750 has now been announced and the camera packs a 24MP sensor, the new EXPEED 4 processor, a 51pt AF system, and fast shooting of up to 6.5fps. The new camera carries over a similar body style from the Nikon D610 though it adds features from Nikon's more robust D810. More details on this new camera as well as my initial thoughts after the break.

At long last the Canon EF to Micro 43 speedbooster has been announced. While it has been available in a Nikon lens version for some time, the Canon version has electronic pass-through which will allow aperture & IS to be used with this speedbooster. The adapter will yield a .71x crop factor and give you a 1 stop advantage for mirrorless cameras such as the Panasonic GH4. This is a welcome addition and will make many GH4 owners (like myself) very happy.

Rokinon has announced what is bound to be another awesome wide aperture cine lens for those video shooters on a budget. This lens is available in mounts for Canon, Nikon, Sony (No Sony FE mount so Sony A7s owners will need an adapter), and Micro 4/3. This lens should be available November 5th for $549. Panasonic GH4 owners might be better served with the Nikon version and Metabones Speedbooster adapter.
